Application Services & Discovery
Provided by the Reflex vTrust security module the Reflex VMC can dynamically detect and provide diagnostic network visibility into the network application protocols used within the virtual environment. The technology will look for application protocols regardless of what port the protocols use. Unlike standard flow-based analysis, the Application & Services Discovery feature will inspect Layer 7 network traffic and look for application protocols without specifically requiring prior knowledge of the ports used by the applications.
Network Troubleshooting
By understanding the network application dependencies within the virtual environment the Reflex VMC can help troubleshoot networking issues arrising from application changes and ultimately optimize the virtual network infrastructure to support its existing service levels.
