Once Reflex VMC and the vWatch monitoring module is installed, the software immediately begins to track every single change that occurs in the virtual infrastructure in real-time. The ability to manage and control changes in the virtual infrastructure gives visibility into who is doing what, when, where and why something changed. VMC stores all changes in its Virtual CMDB, correlates the data, and provides virtualization administrators the ability to see how much change is occurring within the virtual environment and what impact these changes make on the overall data center.
Visibility & Flexibility
Reflex VMC provides the following detailed information for each change detected throughout the entire virtual infrastructure.
- Name of object where change was identified
- Change type: Added, deleted or modified status
- Property changed
- Old value of the property
- New value of the property
- User that made the change
- Revision number
- Modification time when the changed was made
This information is available in a list view or tree view and has the ability to filter or sort by object, property, user, etc. to hone in on the issue at hand.
