Reflex forges strategic partnerships with various technology and service provider partners to enable the most comprehensive virtualization systems management platform available. The goal is to provide flexibility, scalability and customization so companies can deploy a solution that meets their organizational needs and helps align virtualization initiatives with the overall business goals of the company. Reflex has developed a very flexible virtualization management framework enabling technologies that easily support integration with various third-party systems. Reflex VMC is a powerful platform that is designed for integration and correlation of virtualization data. Reflex’s systems management platform provides very rich APIs based on the patent-pending virtualization query language (VQL) and the virtualization configuration management database (vCMDB) that serve as an integration point for Reflex VMC.
Reflex provides three major mechanisms to integrate with other IT systems:
Through tight integration with the hypervisor layer of the virtual infrastructure, Reflex Systems is able to provide sophisticated management, monitoring and analysis, as well as security and configuration management within the virtual data center. Reflex VMC platform is purpose-built to integrate with hypervisors such as VMware vSphere, Microsoft HyperV and Citrix Xen. While Reflex VMC is designed to support various platforms, Reflex Systems primarily focuses on managing and securing VMware virtualized environments.
Reflex System's relationship with VMware enables Reflex to leverage VMsafetm technology, VMware's hypervisor-embedded security solution for ISV partners. The integration with VMware enables Reflex to enforce network policies at the hypervisor level within VMware vSphere 4, giving customers a more efficient way to monitor traffic between virtual machines. Reflex Virtualization Management Center (VMC) was the first third-party solution to be certified by VMware for VMsafetm.
Reflex's virtualization systems management platform is built to provide the most flexible virtualization management framework to for virtualized datacenters. The Virtualization CMDB and the VQL language provide integration points into and out of Reflex VMC for third-party technology tools. Reflex can integrate and work with various security, systems management, and ticketing systems that may already exist within an organization’s data center.
Cloud service providers have the need to provide security, governance, risk-management and compliance capabilities in their cloud environment. The ability to perform these tasks without the dependencies on physical hardware is the key for economical, effective, scalable, and secure cloud environment. Reflex provides an Application Program Interface (API) that enables service providers and large enterprises to provision and manage security and compliance per tenant in a cloud environment without the dependency on expensive external hardware. Reflex Systems currently integrates with various cloud service providers such as Savvis and CSC to allow management, security and policy enforcement for their enterprise cloud offerings.
